Writing Cards

We wrote some wonderful messages to our dads, uncles and granddads, reflecting on the wonderful values they bring to our lives. Their loving support, kind reassurace and amazing guidance is so important to us all. Happy Father's Day all!

Maths Fractions:

In Maths we have started to identify fractions of halves and quarters in shapes. We used the Father's Day Cards as a jumping off point to work on halves in shapes. We cut, we folded and we studied the layout of the card space to determine where these amazing balloons would need to be stuck. These cards are something we are very proud of. We hope our dads loved them too. 

We also worked on designing some 'Knick Knack Mugs' too. We had to decide which half of the mug to work on and created two images that represented the importance of these special people in our lives.

Religion: 

We have been learning about The Community of God. We identified ways people help each other in our community. Serving others is a way to show that we understand the messages that God and Jesus gave us in the Bible Stories. As part of our helping our SJV community, we went to John Hannah House as a way of connecting to the elder members of our community in a caring and respectful way. We played games, shared songs and chatted with each other.

Our Art work reflects the bible story of the Fruits of the Spirit and how we should practise these special qualities to live in peace and harmony in our communities. Having joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control are qualities that each of us can foster and share with others.
