The Year 10 students and staff came together earlier this week on Tuesday 25th of November for the Year 10 Formal, to celebrate the end of the year and the end of the students’ journey at the junior campus. The night was well attended and enjoyed by all.

Students and staff enjoyed the chance to reflect on their time at the junior campus while also looking ahead to the exciting opportunities that lie beyond Year 10. The evening offered a meaningful moment to farewell one chapter, celebrate the year's achievements, and offer well-wishes for the journey ahead.

Our Year 10 students have been an absolute pleasure to work with, and the Year 10 teaching team would like to sincerely congratulate them on their efforts and growth throughout the year. We wish each student every success in their future pathways—whether you’re heading to the senior campus, starting at TAFE or SEDA, or stepping into an apprenticeship. Whatever direction you take, you now have the world at your feet.

Please have a safe and enjoyable Christmas Break. Thank you all for a great year.

2026 Year 11 Headstart

The end of Year 10 was celebrated at the Year 10 Formal earlier this week. Headstart commenced at the University Campus yesterday for those moving into Year 11. Students are reminded that they must attend school until they turn 17 and require an exemption from the Department of Education if undertaking an apprenticeship or transitioning into fulltime work.  If you are not planning on returning to Kurnai College in 2026, please contact either myself, careers or the general office. The careers advisors are more than willing to support students through their final years of secondary schooling or who may be interested in alternative pathways.

Uniform Donations

With Year 10s departing the junior campus and begin their senior schooling years, we are asking any families who no longer have a use for the college uniform and wish to donate it back to the college to support other students and families to please drop any unwanted uniform pieces in at our office to be recycled and repurposed.

However, Year 10 students who have been invited to the Kurnai College Awards Ceremony on Friday 12th of December are required to still wear school uniform and should hold onto their uniform until then.
