A letter from the Archbishop of Melbourne
This year marks the Jubilee Year of Hope. Archbishop Peter Comensoli invites all people across the Archdiocese to take part in a special celebration beginning with Mass at 11am at St. Patick's Cathedral in Melbourne's CBD. After Mass everyone is encouraged to join the pilgrimage through Melbourne's CBD in prayer and song and finishing with Benediction at Federation Square
Please see the invite from Peter Comensoli our Archbishop below.
St. Vincent de Paul Collection
Our St. Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal continues this week until Friday 27th of June. We are asking for your generous support in donating goods to help individuals and families in need within our community and parish. Thank you to all families who have already begun donating small or large, your contributions, will make a real difference in the lives of those experiencing hardship.
All classrooms have a large container that students can place their items in. Thank you to Jason, Claire and Sybilla, our Year 6 Social Justice Leaders for their contribution as part of their Leadership portfolio. They have been working hard behind the scenes to get this up and going.

Whatever the Father has is mine. The Spirit of truth will guide us.
Family Connection
Think of the last time you witnessed an act of selfless love in your family.
Parents and caregivers of all kinds are called upon to act selflessly every day.
Family life calls us to share selfless love with one another.
God is the model for us of selfless love. There was no need for God to create our planet or the creatures that inhabit it; it was an act of selfless love. There was also no need for God to send his only Son to save us. That too was an act of selfless love.
As we draw closer to God and the mystery of the Trinity, we learn about God's love. God has lavished us with love in the persons of the Son and the Spirit, who in turn nurture in us the desire to do the same. When we open ourselves to be filled with an awareness of the divine life within us, we participate in the endless spiral of love that leads to eternal life. Whenever we share selfless love in the family, we are sharing in the life of the Trinity.
Family Activity
Share and Reflect
Whilst sharing a meal together or throughout a family discussion, discuss:
- “What do you think it means that the Holy Spirit guides us?”
- “Can you think of a time when someone in our family helped guide you with kindness or love?”
Create
- Give each person a piece of paper to trace their hand.
- On each hand, write one way you can be a “guide of love” this week, just like the Holy Spirit—by helping, comforting, or encouraging someone.
- E.g., “I will help my sister pack her bag for school,” or “I will pray for someone who’s feeling sad.”
- Stick the hands on a wall or fridge as a visual reminder of the Spirit’s guiding love in your home.
Pray together
Holy Spirit,
Guide us with your love and truth.
Help us listen to your voice and follow the ways of Jesus in our family and in the world. Amen.
May God bless,
