SAPSASA KNOCKOUT SOCCER ROUND 1

On Friday, our school proudly competed in the first round of the SAPSASA Knockout Soccer.

The event was held at West Beach, where we took part in a round-robin tournament alongside 20 other primary schools. It was an action-packed day filled with great sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination from all teams involved.

Our students represented the school with pride, showing incredible effort on and off the field. A huge thank you to our coaches, and families who supported on the day and helped out with setting up and packing down! Well done to all players for their hard work and positive attitude.

North West Junior Soccer Association (NWJSA) July School Holiday Program 2025.

We welcome Adelaide United Vice-Captain Stefan Mauk to the NWJSA community. Stefan started his soccer career journey through NWJSA, playing with his primary school, Star of the Sea, during the late 90s and early 2000s. He was a Representative Player of NWJSA and competed at the South Australian Junior Soccer Association State Championships.

Stefan Mauk is dedicated to enriching the grassroots community of NWJSA by helping players further develop their love and passion for the game.

NWJSA strive in the grassroots sporting community by providing an exceptional grassroots Primary School soccer program that enhances the participation of children as they begin that stepping stone into sport and team sport, where we see players developing a love for the game. We endeavour to help nurture that passion for children to continue in the sport of soccer through their primary school years and moving into high school or signing up for the local soccer clubs.

Head Coaches Stefan Mauk and Juan Pinzon of NWJSA have designed a Clinic Program that runs Mid-Week during school terms 2 and 3, currently operating on Monday and Thursday afternoons at Jubilee Reserve, West Lakes Shore and Tuesdays at St Clair Oval 4. The sign-up process for Term 3 will open shortly for those wishing to participate and further develop their soccer knowledge and skills.

Through this program, we will be running a JULY SCHOOL HOLIDAY CLINIC for 3 days on the 7th, 8th and 9th of July at Jubilee Reserve, West Lakes Shore 9am to 12pm. Please see attached flyer for additional details.

As children are registered through the online NWJSA MySportApp portal via their primary school. Parents/Guardians will need to register player through the website nwjsa.mysportapp.com.au Can use existing registration details, if you are having difficulties signing up due to email address is already in use or you are unable to log in under child/ren name, please reach out to info@nwjsa.org.au

U9

The LNPS U9s continue their incredible run, remaining unbeaten so far this season. Their success is even more impressive considering that many of the boys are actually in Year 2 and playing a year above their age group – eligible for the U8s, but more than rising to the challenge at U9 level.

The team has put in some outstanding performances against strong opposition, showing great skill, determination, and teamwork. What stands out just as much as their results is the way they’re doing it – always upholding the LNPS values on and off the pitch.

A special mention goes to the boys' positive attitude – even when it’s their turn in goal (not everyone’s favourite role!), there are no complaints. That willingness to support the team wherever needed is exactly what LNPS is all about.

Well done, boys – keep it up!

Cross Country Championships

On Thursday, 5th June, Quinn N and Curtis M competed for Airport District at the 2025 SA School Sport Cross Country Championships at the Oakbank Racecourse.

It was a very successful day for Airport with four out of a possible six medals being won across three age groups.  This included three silver medals and one gold medal.

Quinn’s team won a Silver medal in the 11 year old girls' 3km event while Curtis’s team won Gold in the 11 year old boys' 3km event.  A great achievement by both athletes!

Luckily, the weather was kind too, and everyone went home dry and mud-free!
