TERM 2 WEEK 8 2025
The end of another term is fast approaching, and what a term it has been! Over the past 8 weeks, our students and staff have continued to impress us with their hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment to learning.
Classrooms have been filled with explicit teaching and learning, and it’s been wonderful to see students embracing challenges and celebrating their successes along the way.
LNPS Esports
Congratulations to all teams that entered the AEL Mindcraft Competition. This is the first time we have been involved in Esports, and it was unbelievable that 'The Sigma Serpents' came away with victory. Please see the separate page for further details.
We are looking forward to further involvement in upcoming competitions.
Special Guest Visit
Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming back two of our outstanding former students, Nathan Amanatidis and Panagiotis Kikianis.
Both Nathan and Pana have gone on to achieve incredible success in their sporting careers, and it was an absolute delight for our students and staff to hear them speak about their journeys. They each shared personal stories that were filled with advice about the value of hard work, commitment, and believing in yourself, no matter what challenges come your way.
One of the most memorable parts of their visit was hearing how fondly they both look back on their years at LNPS. They spoke about the friendships they formed here, the happy memories of their time at LNPS, and, about the amazing teachers who supported and encouraged them every step of the way. They both mentioned how our teaching staff helped to build their confidence and helped them become the amazing role models they are today.
Their message to our students was clear: success does not happen overnight; it is earned through consistent effort, determination, and resilience. They reminded everyone that setbacks are simply opportunities to grow stronger and that each student has the potential to achieve great things if they stay focused and work hard. Both Nathan and Pana embody our school values and live them every day.
We are incredibly proud of Nathan and Panagiotis and grateful that they took the time to come back and inspire our next generation of students. Their stories remind us all that with passion, effort, and the support of an encouraging school community, anything is possible!
Mid-Year Progress Reports
As we approach the end of the first semester, Mid-Year Progress Reports will be available for families from 12pm on Monday, 30th June. Reports will be sent via email and can also be accessed through the EMS Community Portal. If you experience any difficulties accessing the portal, please don’t hesitate to contact Vanessa on 8443 5544 for assistance.
These reports provide an overview of each student’s progress, highlighting their achievements, strengths, and clear next steps for growth.
When reviewing your child’s report, we encourage you to consider the Effort and Learner Qualities indicators alongside their academic Achievement. These aspects play a significant role in your child’s development and success throughout the semester and the school year.
We also recommend taking the time to discuss your child’s Student Comment together. This section is written by students themselves, reflecting on the goals they set in Terms 1 and 2 and the progress they have made towards achieving them.
Mirjana and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading many of these thoughtful student reflections and look forward to reading more in the coming weeks. It is always inspiring to see the goals students have accomplished and their plans for continued growth.
This process ties directly to our Learning Conferences, which are an essential part of supporting every student’s ongoing learning journey.
If you have any questions once you have received your child’s report, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher.
Staffing Update
We are really excited to announce that Mikaela Calabro (Preservice Teacher 2024 and current TRT) has been appointed to T16 and T19 to replace Maddie Moore, who will be on Maternity leave from next term. Congratulations, Mikaela, on your appointment and first contact position.
