The Great Book Swap

A few weeks ago, St Bede's hosted The Great Book Swap to raise funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. All children were encouraged to bring in a pre-loved book and a gold coin donation. Each class had chance to explore the literature available and simply - swap! 

I'm pleased to say the swap was a great success raising an incredible $364.70! 

It was wonderful to see so many of our students reading, exploring texts and giving to those who need it. Thank you to all parents & carers for their support & donations during this event. All money will be sent to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation to support literacy achievement in remote Indigenous communities. 

We look forward to seeing how much more we can raise next year!
