Principal's Report

Pupil Free Days

Monday November 3rd is a pupil free day where staff will be participating in Berry Street Trauma Informed Practices professional learning.

School Council still have one more to schedule (likely to be late November) and we will let you know as soon as it is decided.

Team Kids are always available on these days.

Holiday Works

We are excited to have our senior toilet bathroom renovation start in the school holidays.  There will be increased noise and debris removal during this time.  We anticipate that the majority of the demolition stage will be completed before we return to school in Term 4.  However, due to this increased noise and debris removal the usual Team Kids holiday program will not be held at LPS these holidays. You can contact Team Kids on 1300 035 000 to ask the location of other local programs.

LPS moves to COMPASS in Term 4

At the beginning of Term 4 we will be changing our school management system from Sentral to Compass. Compass will allow us to track and utilise data in a simpler more and practical way.  It will combine a number of systems that we currently use into one system. Parent payments of excursions and camps will happen through Compass and parent communication is more streamlined and easier to use.

You will receive a letter from myself with your sign up details later next week, you will be required to change your temporary password and confirm your email address and mobile phone number.

Prep & Year 6 Musical

“The Wizard of Langwarrin” is coming to the LPAC next week!  That’s right – our musical is on next week. There are still a small number of tickets available for both the Tuesday night and Wednesday night show.

Tickets are $14. Click on the link to purchase.

My sincere thanks to our Prep team and Year 6 team for their hard work in preparing and organising their students for the musical.  Equally, thanks to Mr Flynn, Jay and Richard for weaving their musical and theatrical skills into ensuring our kids have a wonderful musical event.

Footy Parade

We will finish off the term with our annual footy parade.  Students get to wear their footy or sporting gear / colours to school on Friday 19th September.  We will celebrate all things footy with our parade in the stadium starting just after 9am (parents welcome to attend).  Please remember students must be wearing enclosed shoes and no bare shoulders or midriffs please.

Have a great week,

Mrs Pepper
