Hello from 4G

It’s been a busy and exciting time in 4G!

In Inquiry, we’ve been exploring the world of advertising. Students have been learning how companies promote their products and are now busy designing their own packaging. As part of the project, they are also creating a PowerPoint presentation to showcase their product and a radio ad they have scripted and recorded. These are already looking amazing, and we can’t wait to see the finished products!

This project has tied in beautifully with other subjects; Science, where we’ve looked at sustainability and choosing materials that are kinder to our planet, and Maths, where students have had to calculate costs to make sure their products are a good price, while also providing them with a profit. 4G have really enjoyed this project so far and have given it 110% effort!

In Writing, we’ve been focusing on procedural texts. The class has had a lot of fun writing imaginative “how-to” pieces, such as How to Walk a T-Rex and How to Ride a Dog! This has been a great way to build their skills in giving clear, step-by-step instructions while still being creative. It was quite funny listening to their guides!!

There’s also a buzz of excitement in the air as we get ready for camp. The students can’t wait, and we’re already using camp as inspiration in our Maths lessons—especially with mapping and navigation. It’s been a fantastic way to connect real-life experiences with classroom learning.

I’m proud of the hard work and creativity 4G has been showing, and I am looking forward to sharing more of their achievements with them as the year goes on!
