Introducing Brock Larkan (Class of 2020)
Brock Larkan, Class of 2020, has carved out a dynamic career in emergency response while nurturing a lifelong passion for Muay Thai. After completing Year 12 and a Certificate III in General Healthcare through the VTAFE program, Brock quickly stepped into the public safety industry, launching a journey that's taken him across Australia.
A Journey of Learning and Growth
Brock's career began with a swift transition into the private sector, where he took on roles in emergency response across defence, mining, industrial, and remote settings. Trained to handle incidents ranging from fires and medical emergencies to road crash rescues and falls from height, Brock has worked in locations as diverse as Sydney, Darwin, Queensland, and remote Western Australia. Alongside his professional work, he's remained committed to Muay Thai, serving as a trainer and mentor in the sport.
Career Highlights
Among Brock's proudest achievements is mentoring and training emergency response teams for major mining companies. His ability to lead under pressure and adapt to varied environments has made him a respected figure in the field. He's also reached a personal milestone by purchasing his own home in Pinjarra while continuing to travel and grow professionally.
