Artist of the Term
Throughout Term 1, students from Year 1, Year 3, Year 5 and Year 6 demonstrated incredible creativity and dedication in the Visual Arts. Each year level explored different artistic techniques, experimenting with a variety of materials and processes.
The Artist of the Term was selected from each year level to recognize students who showed exceptional effort, creativity, and skill in their artwork. These students displayed a strong understanding of art elements, a willingness to experiment with new ideas, and a passion for visual expression.
Their hard work and enthusiasm were truly inspiring, and their artworks were proudly celebrated within the school community.
Visual Arts Drawing Club
During Harmony Week, students across the school took time to celebrate the values of inclusiveness, respect and belonging that make our community so special. Harmony Week is an important event in Victorian schools that encourages students to recognise and appreciate the many cultures, backgrounds and experiences that make up Australia.
In Drawing Club, students showed their creativity by designing colourful badges and a large banner to promote the message “Everyone Belongs.” Students carefully planned their designs, using bright colours, symbols and positive messages to represent friendship, diversity and unity.
The banner proudly displayed the Harmony Week message and reminded everyone that our school is a place where everyone is welcomed, valued and respected. The students were excited to share their creations and contribute to celebrating the diversity within our school community.
It was wonderful to see our young artists using their creativity to spread such a positive message.
Happy Holidays, Happy Creating,
Adele (Visual Arts Teacher) 😊
