ACADIENCE MATHS

This term we're trialling a new standardised Maths assessment tool, Acadience. It is comprised of measures of early numeracy, computation, and problem-solving that function as indicators of the essential skills that every child must master in order to become proficient in mathematics. Just like we do in reading, we want to screen to identify those at risk and to monitor progress in our students. It is designed to be conducted three times per year.
The early years have a number of minute long assessments conducted one on one with the teacher. Progressing through year levels, they become more whole class based.
