The end of term is fast approaching. The students completing a VCE subject are in their exam for Unit 1 today. All Year 10 students will be completing Common Assessment tasks for all of their subjects over the next few weeks. Please ensure they revise their notes for these tasks. We have had some great feedback from many of the employers about the Morwell students who went out on Work Experience earlier this term. One of our students has been offered full-time work.

Camp

This year our Year 10 students will be going to Tasmania in the second last week of term three. Information is now out on Compass. There are 26 Morwell students signed up for the camp to Tasmania next term. They will visit many attractions including Salamanca Place, Constitution Dock, Port Arthur & Port Arthur Ghost tour, Unzoo Wildlife Sanctuary, Blowhole, Tasman Arch, Devils Kitchen, Richmond Village & Gaol, Coles Bay & Cataract Gorge.

Transition

We are currently arranging the transition process for our Year 10 students going to Year 11 at the end of November. This will include;

Talks from the VCE-VCE and the VCE-VM Leaders as well as a subject information Day at the Uni Campus, a parent information evening at the Uni Campus and course counselling appointments etc. Dates will be available shortly.

The University Campus will be holding an information evening on Wednesday 6th of August which will provide families with more information about the VCE and VCE VM course offerings.

More information can also be found at https://www.kurnai.co/senior-campus-view and https://kurnai.co/senior-campus

PBS

Students can receive a KPA SMS message to parents from teachers each lesson for positive behaviour. Students are also receiving postcards for displaying consistent behaviours for the four school pillars of Excellence, Relationships, Work Ethic and Engagement. This year we will be rewarding students with great attendance to school and for LBU reports at or above 3.5 as well as growth reports. The last LBU reports had 18 students receive a 4.0 result. Congratulations to all of those students.!! Hope you enjoyed your lunch yesterday. Also, well done to all of the students who gained 3.5 and above. Great effort!!
