Basketball Club Welcomes Australian Elite Athletes
Students attending our lunchtime Basketball Club have enjoyed the wonderful opportunity to train with two Australian basketball players, Evie Patterson and Jessica McCulloch, across multiple sessions.

Our Senior School Coordinator, Jo Larkin, is also an Assistant Coach with the Australian Pearls Basketball Team, which represents Australia in women’s basketball for athletes with an intellectual disability. Through this connection, our students have been fortunate to learn from elite athletes who share their skills, knowledge and passion for the game.
Many students have embraced this fantastic opportunity to further develop their basketball skills, build confidence and learn from players who compete at the highest level.
Evie and Jess will be travelling to Bangkok in late October to represent Australia at the World Basketball Championships. We wish them both the very best of luck and sincerely thank them for generously volunteering their time to support and inspire our students. We hope to welcome them back to Heatherwood again soon!
