Dear Students and Families,
Student safety before school
Student safety is very important to us. Students must stay inside the school grounds after they arrive in the morning. They should not leave the school grounds at any time before school starts unless accompanied by an adult. Gates are open from 8.40am and teachers are rostered to provide supervision in the playground.
The message for students is:
Stay inside the school grounds once you arrive.
Do not go outside the gates or leave school without permission.
If you need help, talk to a teacher or staff member.
We want everyone to be safe. If you have any questions or worries, please come and speak to your teacher or the office.
Thank you for looking after your safety.
School Photographs
Class, portrait and family photograph packages have been distributed today. Our school received the photographs on Friday, 18th September and we know families have been waiting patiently.
Please contact the school before the end of the week if there are concerns related to the photograph packages.
A reminder to families that sport and group (dance etc) photographs should be ordered online by Friday, 25th September, 2026. After this date an archive fee will apply. Information relating to ordering was sent via a School Bytes email.
Screen use in schools
From 2027, the department will be introducing new guidelines for screen use at school. This will include recommended maximum times that students can spend on individual devices, such as laptops, desktop computers and tablets. This revised approach recognises that students need screen-free time, time writing by hand and reading from paper, alongside the benefits technology can provide for learning.
This is not about removing technology from education. It is about ensuring that our use of technology adds genuine educational value every time it is used. We will provide further information about the screen use guidelines, as well as support resources to implement them, next term.
Coming up in Term 4 - Grandparent's Day
We will be celebrating grandparents through 'Grandparent's Day' on Thursday, 22nd October, 2026.
Grandparents are invited to visit their grandchild/ren's classroom 9.30 - 10.30am and then join us in the hall for morning tea. More information will be forwarded to families in Week 1, Term 4.
End of Term 3
As Term 3 draws to a close, I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work, dedication, and resilience shown by our entire school community. Students, you have persevered through challenges and embraced new learning experiences. Staff, your unwavering commitment to nurturing and inspiring every student continues to make a profound difference. Parents and carers, your support of your children, their ongoing development and our school is very much appreciated.
Together, we’ve achieved so much - whether it’s academic progress, creative achievements, or sporting triumphs, these successes are a testament to the strong sense of teamwork and community spirit at our school.
As we head into the well-deserved break, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and spend quality moments with family and friends. Thank you all for your efforts, positivity, and contributions throughout Term 3. I look forward to seeing you refreshed and ready for an exciting Term 4! Students return for Term 4 on Tuesday, 13th October.
