Attendance Competition - Term 3

We will commence out Attendance competition again.

When a class has 100% attendance for that particular day, they get to add a counter to thier class jar in the office.

Here you will see Morgan and Jack proudly showing the little jars that the counters go in.  Grade 3 Taylor won the competition in Term 2 - the reward they have chosen is to watch a movie with some lollies!!!!!  How cool is that!

Wellbeing and Community Partnership Groups

The Term 3 Wellbeing and Community Partnership groups have started with lots of enthusiasm.

The Mini Hands-on group have enjoyed learning about what they will do each week, one of thier jobs is to make sure the chicken coup is clean and the chickens have food and water.  They also did some weeding.

The Senior Hands-on group started their nail art project, learning how to old a hammer and the art of hammering nails!!!  They will begin thier toolboxes very soon.

The Sewing Group started on Wednesday and have already completed their plan for their bag.  They threaded needles and stitched buttons as a taster for what they will be doing further.

The Kinder Group started on Wednesday.  Each week a different group of Grade 5-6 students will be attending Shine Bright Kinder to interact with the Kinder students.

PBIS

This is our 'School Wide Expectations' regarding behaviour, we refer to it as our 'Behaviour Matrix'

This Matrix is displayed in every classroom at St Patrick's.

The Teachers explicity teach these to the students.

Our PBIS Blitz is:

Moving Around the School Safely and Respectfully.

Every day we move from classrooms to the playground, library, toilets, specialist classes, and other learning spaces. How we move around our school helps keep everyone safe, respectful, and ready to learn.

Safe Movement

Let's start with being safe

One area we need to think carefully about is the rocks outside. Even though they might look fun to run on, rocks can be slippery and uneven.

Walk around the rocks. Do not run on them.

When we run on the rocks, we increase the chance of tripping, falling, and getting hurt. Walking helps everyone stay safe.

Respecting Our School Environment

Next, let's talk about showing respect for our school grounds.

Our gardens make our school look beautiful. Teachers, students, and volunteers work hard to keep them healthy.

Please stay off the garden beds.

Garden beds are for plants, not for walking, standing, or playing in.

When we keep off the garden beds:

  • Plants can grow properly.
  • Flowers stay healthy.
  • The school remains a welcoming place for everyone.

Keeping Noise at an Appropriate Level

Another way we show respect is through our voice level.

While we are moving around the school, learning is happening all around us. Some classes may be reading, writing, completing tests, or participating in small group activities.

Use a calm voice and keep noise at a level that doesn't distract other classes.

Thank you everyone for helping make our school a safe, respectful, and positive place to learn.

Let's all do our part by moving around the school safely, staying off the garden beds, and using voices that support learning for everyone.

A shared understanding of bullying:
