PAL Awards

McClelland College was proud to attend the Peninsula Applied Learning (PAL) Awards, celebrating the achievements and success of students and schools across the Peninsula.

A major highlight of the evening was McClelland College receiving the School Best Practice Award for the Peninsula, recognising our commitment to meaningful applied learning opportunities and supporting student success through the VCE Vocational Major program.

Three McClelland College students also received individual awards in recognition of their outstanding efforts:

• Ben Ramsey – Industry Award
• Alex Canepa – Excellence Award
• Harriet Langford – Growth Award

These awards celebrate our students' hard work, perseverance and personal growth. We are incredibly proud of Alex, Ben and Harriet and congratulate them on their well-deserved recognition.

It was a fantastic evening celebrating applied learning across the Peninsula, and we are proud to see McClelland College and our students recognised for their achievements.

VCE & VCE VM CELEBRATION DAY

Our Year 12 VCE and VCE Vocational Major (VM) students recently celebrated their final day of classes with a fantastic day of festivities, marking the end of an important chapter in their schooling journey.

The day was filled with excitement, laughter and plenty of school spirit, with students getting into the celebrations through some fantastic dress-up outfits. It was wonderful to see the creativity, effort and enthusiasm that went into the different costumes, creating a great atmosphere throughout the day.

The celebrations concluded with a whole-school assembly, where our Year 12 students had the opportunity to come together with staff and fellow students to reflect on their time at the College and celebrate their achievements.

It was a wonderful way to recognise the hard work, commitment and memories made throughout their secondary school years.

We would like to congratulate all our Year 12 VCE and VCE VM students on reaching this milestone. We wish them every success as they move into the next exciting chapter of their lives, whether that be further study, apprenticeships, employment or new adventures.

Congratulations, Year 12! We wish you all the very best for the future.

GRATITUDE WALK

Our Year 11 VCE and VCE VM students recently took on an incredible challenge, completing the 24.3km Gratitude Walk from McClelland College to Mordialloc Beach in support of the Fusion Charity.

The walk provided students with an opportunity to challenge themselves, demonstrate resilience and strengthen their connections with one another, all while raising money for a worthwhile cause. Throughout the journey, students showed outstanding determination, teamwork and encouragement, supporting each other every step of the way.

McClelland College is incredibly proud of the effort and commitment shown by all students who participated. Completing 24.3km is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful reflection of the positive attitude and community spirit demonstrated by our Year 11 cohort.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank the families who supported students in preparing for the walk and encouraged their participation in this fantastic initiative. The support of our wider school community plays an important role in making experiences like this possible.

After completing the challenging walk, students celebrated their achievement with a well-deserved BBQ at Mordialloc Beach, providing a great opportunity to relax, reflect and enjoy time together.

The Gratitude Walk was a wonderful example of resilience, teamwork, gratitude and giving back to the community. We congratulate all students on their outstanding efforts and thank everyone who contributed to making the day such a memorable experience.
