Busy start to the term
It has been an extremely busy start to Term 2, with many extra-curricular activities taking place. Our Year 5/6 students represented the school admirably at the recent Summer Lightning Premiership. Although we didn’t come home with any titles, we were highly competitive and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship.
The weather was on our side for the school cross country event on Thursday, and every student gave their best effort. It was wonderful to see such strong support from both staff and families.
This week, our Junior Swimming Program has commenced. Both staff and students have been well organised and are thoroughly enjoying their time in the pool.
Foundation enrolments for 2027
I am currently conducting regular tours for prospective parents and guardians for 2027 enrolments.
If any current families have younger siblings intending to attend next year, please contact the office as soon as possible to inform us of your intentions.
Mother’s Day Breakfast
Next Thursday 7th May, we will be hosting our annual Mother’s Day Breakfast. The event will take place outside the canteen from 8:00am.
An expression of interest has been published via Compass, so please remember to respond so that we can cater accordingly. Breakfast Club will operate as usual for students on this day.
Working Bee
Thank you to all families who responded to our Google Form regarding the school working bee. This will take place on Friday, 15th May from 2:30pm to 5:00pm.
We will share a list of tasks with families in the coming week. Those interested will be
able to nominate themselves for specific jobs.
We hope to see as many members of our school community as possible come along to help maintain and improve our school environment.
We acknowledge the Bunurong people, the Traditional
Owners of the land on which Baxter Primary School resides, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
