Principal's Report

Dear families and friends of MPW
We had a great turn out on Friday 20th for this year’s Movie Night fundraiser. As always, a big thank you to the fundraising committee for their efforts leading up to and on the day organising for the night. Thanks also to our parent helpers who supported the setting up, packing up and running of the stalls throughout the night. The weather held out for us this year, thankfully, and I have had lots of feedback that it was a great night. Just need to make sure the microphone is working properly next year for the intro!
Well done to Albert, who participated in the Regional Swimming finals today. At the time of writing this, we don’t know how Albert placed in his events. We look forward to an update at assembly on Thursday morning. Making it to the regional level is an achievement in itself.
School Council
We held our first meeting of our new School Council last Monday night. We welcomed Jason and Anna to council as new members, and farewelled Tom and Ben. Council thanked Ben who has ended his term on council and for his work as a member of the Education and Policy Committee and as the Vice President. Council also thanked Tom who has stepped off council after a number of years supporting as School Council Treasurer. I thank Tom for his commitment to the school council the past 4 years, and his support of the Resources committee.
Elected at this meeting were:
School Council President- Rick Bottiglieri, School Council Vice President- Daniel Bevz School Council Treasurer- Jason Bell.
Thank you also to those School Councillors who are continuing on council this year.
