Reflection

In the Catholic tradition, the month of May is a special time uniquely dedicated to honoring Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Throughout this month, we are invited to reflect on Mary’s extraordinary faith, her gentle compassion, and her role as a spiritual mother to us all.

Mary’s unwavering "yes" to God and her unconditional love for her son make her the ultimate role model for our students and families. It is no coincidence that we also celebrate Mother’s Day during this time! Just as we pause to thank the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures in our own lives for their endless love and support, we also look to Mary as the perfect example of motherhood and grace.

Throughout May, our classes will be spending time learning about Mary, reflecting on her virtues, and engaging in special prayers, including the Rosary. We encourage all of our families to take a quiet moment this month to pray together and ask for Mary’s continued guidance and protection over our St Patrick's community.

Prayer

Gracious God,

We thank You for the gift of Mary,

the Mother of Jesus,

who shows us the beauty of unconditional love

and unwavering faith.

Throughout this special month,

we ask Mary to wrap her loving mantle

 around the St Patrick’s community.

Inspire us to follow her gentle example

of compassion and to always say "yes" to Your call.

We also ask for her special intercession

for all the mothers, grandmothers,

and mother figures in our lives.

May they be blessed with strength, joy, and peace.

 Amen.

New Parish Appointment

It was recently announced that our parish and school will soon be welcoming a new priest! We are greatly looking forward to the arrival of Father Elino Comanda and the spiritual guidance, pastoral experience, and dedication he will bring to our community. As he commences his new role, we are eager to welcome him and work alongside him in the coming months and years.

We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Monsignor Wilkes, who will continue to lead the parish of St. Joseph's at Uralla. We remain deeply grateful for his ongoing commitment and leadership. Please join us in extending the warmest of welcomes to Father Elino Comanda!
