Education Perfect International Bronze Languages Competition – Results

Students learning German and Indonesian have spent one week competing in the World Language Championship. The competition started at 4pm on Tuesday 5th May and finished on Tuesday 12th May at 4pm. 

Oberon performed extremely well, with 42 students receiving certificates for 500 or more points.

Elite winners were Saathvik Balaji with a massive 10,385 points and Alizee Recites with an impressive 10,027 points.

We had three Emerald winners – Yuvraj Dua, Valentino Bankier and Elaina Laurie, one Gold winner – Kai Pritchett and one Silver winner – Aurora Mortimer.

Seven students won Bronze awards and 28 Credit awards.

Overall Oberon placed 32nd in the world out of 1622 schools, 8th in Victoria out of 296 schools, 3rd in the world in German out of 456 schools, 5th in Australia for Indonesian out of 324 schools.

Well done to all our Language students who spent many hours practising both their German and Indonesian skills. Many students made outstanding progress!

Year 9 German students win AGTV State Boardgame competition

Two year 9 German students have won first place in the State Boardgame competition, defeating many other school entries from both the private and state systems. Their entry had a great idea of combining Snap with a boardgame. This game will now be professionally published by the AGTV and shared amongst many schools teaching German not just in Victoria but also Australia.
