Prep Excursion to The Big Goose

On Friday 17th October, our excited Prep students headed off on an adventure to The Big Goose! From the moment we arrived, there were smiles all around as we explored the farm and met so many amazing animals. The students were thrilled to meet Mooshie the alpaca up close and even give her a pat. We went on a tractor ride and got to see kangaroos, ostriches, donkeys, camels, deer, sheep, llamas, and cows up close. One of the biggest highlights was patting the guinea pigs and baby chickens, so soft and adorable! We watched a reptile show where we saw snakes and lizards. Some brave students even held the python, showing incredible courage.

We also enjoyed a wonderful sheepdog show featuring Dusty the Kelpie, who impressed everyone with his clever tricks and hard work rounding up the sheep. Dusty quickly became a crowd favourite with his wagging tail and playful energy! It was a day full of fun, laughter, and learning, and our Preps came home with tired feet and big smiles. What a fantastic way to experience farm life firsthand!
