Year 5/6 Urban Camp 2024
Year 5/6 Urban Camp was an unforgettable experience, packed with exciting activities and educational tours. The highlight for many students was GoClimb, where they enthusiastically tackled various climbing challenges. The MCG tour offered a fascinating glimpse into Australia's rich sporting history, while the visit to Parliament House provided insights into the workings of our government. Ice skating and Bounce brought plenty of fun and laughter, as students enjoyed showing off their skills and learning new tricks. At Scienceworks, IMAX, and the Melbourne Museum, students engaged with interactive exhibits, marveled at the wonders of science and technology, and deepened their understanding of the world around them. Along with the many other activities students took part in, Urban camp will leave students with cherished memories and experiences.

Don't forget that our House Athletics event is this Friday! Please ensure students come prepared with:
- Sports uniform
- Running shoes
- Water bottle
- Recess and Lunch
9:00am there will be a best dressed competition. This is a chance to show your house spirit and get points towards the spirit cup.

Book Review by Tom F
Tom recommended ‘A New Hope’, by Alexandra Bracken. This is a Adventure and Science Fiction book set a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. There are many main characters such as Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin, R2-D2, C-3PO and Obi-wan. The galactic empire is chasing the rebellion to destroy their base on Yavins Moon but with Luke Skywalkers help to destroy the Empire ultimate weapon. Tom rates it 4.5 out of 5 stars and recommends it for students in grade 4+.
