UWA Updates
Spikeball Competition
Wednesday 6 November | 9am-2.30pm
Students in Year 10 and above are welcome to attend a one-day tournament with UWA's Spikeball league, providing an opportunity to experience life at UWA in a fun, energetic sporting environment, while introducing them to the exciting game of Spikeball and promoting physical activity. The tournament will be on James Oval at UWA’s Perth Campus.
Astrofest
Saturday 9 November | 5.30 – 9.30pm
Australia’s largest free astronomy community event will be held at Curtin Stadium, supported by UWA's ICRAR (International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research) and more. It's a family event suitable for all students, especially those interested in a STEM career, where they can hear from researchers about their work.
WAAPA Summer School for Secondary Students
Experience a summer you will never forget as WAAPA’s theatres and studios come alive to host an array of exciting courses for young creatives. WAAPA’s Summer School offers dynamic, fun-filled programs that providing intense, creative training for students in years 7 to 12. The courses are crafted to build confidence, teamwork and self-esteem while honing the skills necessary to becoming a successful actor, musician, dancer and performer on stage and screen.

2025 Program
School-Based Traineeships - WesTrac 2025
WesTrac is seeking up to five (5) female School Based Trainees to join their Guildford Branch completing a Cert II in Automotive Electrical Technology commencing in February 2025.
WesTrac is one of the world’s leading Caterpillar dealers providing whole of life equipment solutions for customers across the mining, construction, marine, forestry and agricultural industries. They're focused on the ongoing development of our team through skills development and provide a variety of other opportunities for team members to harness their full potential.

Year 9 Career Taster Program (CTP)
The program offers the following:
- Industry-led experiences and activities that will introduce them to new and different areas of work and career opportunities
- Career development training that will assist them in making informed decisions on their subject selections and post-school options

Our Pathway Support days present an opportunity for students to discuss their study options, based on their chosen course, qualifications and circumstances.
Students can also receive personalised pathway advice and application support and get answers to any questions they may have about studying at Curtin.
