Junior School

Year 4 Green Assembly

The Year 4 Green 'Learning is Cool' themed assembly performance was a fantastic celebration of student creativity and collaboration! The boys put in tremendous effort, showcasing their vocabulary skills through a lively word dance-off that had everyone tapping their feet. Their entertaining angles rap performance was a highlight, blending fun with learning in an unforgettable way. Great job, 4 Green.

Stage to School - B.I.G performance

Our Boys In Groove were back on the stage last Sunday, 13 October at Newman College for the School to Stage competition.

As always, the boys did a fantastic job performing with energy and enthusiasm.

The Stage to School competition also provided a fantastic opportunity for the boys to witness the incredible talent from other schools across the Southwest and Perth region. A big congratulations to our boys for their hard work and a job well done! They are to be congratulated on receiving 3rd place in the Hip Hop category. An amazing achievement.

Christian Service – Shopfront Appeal

This year for our Christmas Hamper drive, Trinity College Junior School will be supporting The Shopfront. This is an initiative led by our Year 6 students and staff as part of their Christian Service focus, but we encourage all Junior School families to get involved.

The Shopfront is a local aid centre that serves the Perth area’s homeless and vulnerable. You can show some Christmas spirit by donating non-perishable food items, such as tinned food and fruit and Christmas items like fruit mince pies and Christmas cake. Other hamper items include personal cleanliness consumables such as soaps, shampoos, tooth brushing kits and deodorants.

Hampers will be in each class, and we encourage students to donate over the next few weeks.

        Languages Week - Junior School

  28 October - 1 November 2024

In Week 4 we will be celebrating Languages Week. Languages Week is designed to raise awareness of the benefits of language learning and an opportunity to celebrate the work our students have done in learning Italian as a second language. The Italian faculty has organised events and activities for the Junior Italian students.

All Year 6 students will participate in a workshop on how to make pasta (cooking class) Monday 28th with Chef Valentina, periods 3 to 6. Students will prepare the pasta and take it home in a container ready to cook.

All Year 5 students will participate in the school project: L’Italia in miniatura (Italy in miniature). Students will be divided into groups during our Italian lessons and will have to collect information about the Regions of Italy with famous cities, monuments and attractions, then display their projects as a final poster in the library.

All Year 4 students will create a unique artwork inspired by Michelangelo following the technique of first sketching the drawing on one side of the paper and then making the final drawing on the other side while lying on their backs.
