Congratulations to our Year 6 student, Matei, who recently won his first gold medal while representing Australia at the Kukkiwon Cup Taekwondo International Open in New Zealand!

It was a proud moment to see him standing on the podium with the Australian flag. Matei is now preparing for the Oceania Championships in Queensland, followed by the World Taekwondo Championships in South Korea later this year! We are cheering you on Matei!

Students proudly represented their houses and participated in a range of events, including:

  • 100m sprint, 200m and 800m
  • Long Jump
  • Vortex Throw
  • House Tug of War (a fun novelty event).

It has been a fun and exciting day for our PMPS students, with plenty of house spirit, teamwork and encouragement on display throughout the event. The House Athletics Carnival is always a highlight of the school year and is an event that many students eagerly look forward to.

A big congratulations to the Year 6 girls, Danielle, Jess, Michaela and Olivia who won the Staff vs Students Relay. This is the first time ever that students have beaten the teachers. Well done girls!!!
