Modern Choir performance

Our Modern Choir delighted the school community at assembly last week with a fantastic performance of Best Day of Our Lives by American Authors.

While there were plenty of nerves before taking the stage, our singers embraced the moment and performed with confidence and enthusiasm. Students described feeling excited, happy, grateful and proud as they sang in front of the whole school.

Many shared that the experience made them feel like famous singers, and Katarina shared that the applause made her feel as though her dream had come true. 

Maddie H 3C -I felt nervous at first but once I got on the stage the nerves went away and I had the best time. I didn’t expect to be singing in front of that many people!

Olive W 2D - It felt exciting because it was like I had 1000 fans and like I was a famous singer like Olivia Rodrigo.

Lizzie M 3A - I felt nervous and excited.

Rina M 3D - I felt nervous when I was waiting and then when I started performing I felt very, very, very excited. Once I finished I felt very amazed at myself because I performed in front of so many people. My brother cheered for me, I felt grateful. 

Amelia N 2B - I felt happy and grateful.

Maddie J 2D - It was really fun because it was in front of the whole school and I felt confident.

Ruby H 3C - I felt happy, excited, grateful and confident.

Katarina K 3A - I felt nervous and I felt like a real singer when everybody applauded. I felt like my dream came true!

Billie J 3C - I felt nervous but confident and excited.

Imogen L 2D - I felt excited, happy and confident.

Juliana K 2B - I felt happy and grateful.

Freya M 3AB - I feel disappointed because I was not there as I just joined choir today!

Audrey M 2D - It was really nerve wracking! It also felt fun as well. It made me feel like I had my own band. 

A special congratulations to all choir members for their courage. We are so proud of the way they supported one another and shared their love of music with our school community!
