News from Foundation 

What a busy end of the year we are having, and it's only going to get busier!!! This year has flown by, and the Foundations have nearly finished their first year of school! WOW!!!!

Writing

The Foundation students have been absolutely smashing their writing during class time! Independent writing time has involved focused handwriting of letters and sentence structure writing based on pictures! Their creativity and ability to sound out unfamiliar words are absolutely incredible. 

Maths

For Maths, over the past two weeks, the Foundation students have been learning about Place Value and identifying numbers based on the number of tens or ones they have. Using a range of hands-on materials, the Foundations created these numbers with Base 10 blocks, bundles of popsicle sticks, and even tens frames.

Monday- STEAM & Library- all books need to be returned, so please look around for them at home.

Tuesday- Japanese

Wednesday- F/1/2 Sports Day  at Upper Yarra (PLEASE FILL OUT FORM ON NFORMA) 

F/1/2 Inquiry afternoon from 2:30-3:15 pm. This is for parents and family to attend. We will do this in the Green Room of the SPA centre. This is a celebration of food and games from around the world! Parents will need to sign in, but a WWCC is not necessary, as Meredith and Bec will be running the session. 

Thursday- P & F Surprise at Arthur's Seat, please see Katie's email and return the waiver by Monday, 24th. Please also fill out the form on NfORMA. All the information needed is on there. Please pay close attention to the clothes worn- no short shorts or skirts as the harness will rub.

Friday- Sport and Assembly- we are hosting an assembly and showing you some of the work we have been up to! Come along at 2:15 pm in the SPA centre. Hope to see you there!
