News from One/Two

It's always busy and active in Grade 1 2.  In Religion we have been learning about what Love means, they came up with some great words like, trust, kindness, and helpfulness.  One way we used to make the learning 'stick' was go out and play a game of hopscotch with the words written in each square. 

For inquiry we have been learning about the games of different cultures.  This week we learnt about the game called Kai. Kai is a traditional game played by First Nations Australians from the Torres Strait Islands.

We found it quite challenging, but had a great time learning all the same!

Wednesday- F/1/2 Sports Day  at Upper Yarra (PLEASE FILL OUT FORM ON NFORMA) 

F/1/2 Inquiry afternoon from 2:30-3:15 pm. This is for parents and family to attend. We will do this in the Green Room of the SPA centre. This is a celebration of food and games from around the world! Parents will need to sign in, but a WWCC is not necessary, as Meredith and Bec will be running the session and parents and carers are participants. 

Thursday- P & F Surprise at Arthur's Seat, please see Katie's email and return the waiver by Monday, 24th November. Please also fill out the form on NfORMA. All the information needed is on there. Please pay close attention to the clothes worn- no short shorts or skirts as the harness will rub.

Friday- Sport and Assembly- we are hosting an assembly and showing you some of the work we have been up to! Come along at 2:15 pm in the SPA centre. Hope to see you there!
