We are excited to announce that there are still some places available for the 2026 Reef and Rainforest Experience, taking place in the last week of Term 2.
This unforgettable program offers students the chance to immerse themselves in the wonders of Australia’s unique ecosystems, exploring both the vibrant Great Barrier Reef and the lush tropical rainforests. It’s an incredible opportunity to learn, connect with nature, and create lasting memories with peers.

Expressions of interest should be sent to wendy.vandenberg@jmss.vic.edu.au.
Please note: if the number of interested students exceeds the available spots, a ballot system will be used to allocate places fairly.
Don’t miss out on this amazing adventure – secure your chance to be part of it today!

We would like to congratulate all of our class of 2025 on the amazing VCE results achieved.
These results are a true reflection of your effort, persistence, and dedication.
The outstanding performance opens up many exciting pathways for them, and we hope our Year 12 graduates continue to carry forward that spirit of curiosity, discovery, and wonder into whatever comes next.
We are incredibly proud of everyone of you and wish you all the best with the next chapter of your life.

On 8 December, Connor Russo and Rapha Kemplar were named national champions of the Evatt UN Debating Competition in Sydney.
I believe this is the first time JMSS has won this title, certainly in the 10 years I have been here. They've been competing in Sydney all week, so the final process is quite extensive.
