CAMP SUNNYSTONES - AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE OF THE AUSTRALIAN BUSH
Year 5/6 camp to Camp Sunnystones was such a great experience for both students and staff. From the moment we arrived, every one of our students embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, supporting one another and stepping outside their comfort zones to try new challenges. We were blessed with fabulous weather.
Throughout the camp, our students demonstrated outstanding teamwork, resilience and positivity. Whether it was participating in geocaching, raft building, archery, trivia night or team challenges they consistently showed what it means to be respectful, responsible and inclusive members of our school community.
Once again the camp highlights were camping out in tents and Red Faces - many laughs and lots of talent. So many of our students opted to sleep in the tents for two nights. They loved sleeping out in nature and waking up to gorgeous sunrises. We were especially proud to hear the Camp Sunnystones staff once again compliment our students, describing them as one of their favourite schools to host. This is a wonderful reflection of the character and spirit of our Year 5/6 cohort and something they should all feel very proud of.
A big congratulations to all of our Year 5/6 students for the way they represented our school. Their positive attitude and willingness to have a go made the camp such a memorable and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
