Bullying No Way: National week of action 2026
Bullying No Way Week, from 17 to 21 August, is about the important roles school, family and community play in helping young people feel accepted, respected and have a sense of belonging.
SMCM is proud to join Australia's bullying prevention initiative and create positive action with students, school staff and our community .
This year's theme is Small Acts, Big Impact. Small actions can make a big impact in building respectful relationships, both online and in real life, and contribute to a positive culture that helps prevent bullying. Actions don’t need to be big to change someone’s world.
Small actions like including someone, speaking up, or showing kindness can change how someone feels about their day.
We have been learning that 'manners matter' and we know that when we use our manners, the other person feels noticed and valued. Using our manners is another small act that develops a positive culture of belonging.
At SMCM, our goal is to build a community where everyone belongs, diversity is celebrated and bullying is never accepted.
Have you registered you child for the Colour Run?
Another homegroup teacher will be slimed on the day of the Colour Run!
The homegroup with the most student profiles actively receiving donations will be announced on Friday.
In week 7, the homegroup with the highest fundraising tally will start the Colour Run on September 17.
