👏🏼Student in the Spotlight🤩
We are thrilled to congratulate Charlotte Edwards on being named the National Winner of the Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee (Red Category). This outstanding achievement reflects her dedication, perseverance, and love of learning.
As part of her prize, Charlotte attended a winners’ program in Canberra, including visits to Parliament House, Questacon, and the National Portrait Gallery, as well as a meeting the Prime Minister in his Cabinet Office alongside local MP Anne Urquhart. She has also shared her success through several media interviews.
We thank our dedicated staff and Charlotte’s family for their support in fostering a strong culture of learning. Charlotte’s national title is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when students, families, and educators work together. Congratulations, Charlotte, on this exceptional accomplishment!
🎸Battle of the Bands 🎸
On Saturday 3 October, two Leighland bands took to the stage at the Burnie Show's Battle of the Bands competition.
SKURG (Sebastien, Scarlett, Jon and Isabella) and Hangar Queen (Alex, Zane, Theodore and Nickilis) delivered energetic performances full of confidence and talent.
Making the achievement even more special, they were the only bands representing Tasmania’s North-West region. We're incredibly proud of the way they represented Leighland Christian School and our wider community. 👏🏼🎶
