Ulverstone Campus Principal

Welcome to Term 4! I pray that our students, families and Leighland community had a blessed term break and have returned refreshed for the final term of 2026. I am pleased to write my first newsletter article as the Principal at the Ulverstone Campus and look forward to leading the campus with my wonderful team of staff, and hope to be a blessing to our students and community.
Term 4 is a busy term, with lots of events and activities. This includes graduations, exams, our Celebration event, dinners, and lots more. Students last week at Ulverstone also put themselves forward to be Student Leaders in Secondary, courageously giving their speeches. It was our first week of Pre-Kinder, with families and our students for next year coming along together to get a taste of life as a student at Leighland! This is also a time of the year when many of our students, especially our Year 12 students, begin thinking about their future and begin making plans. There is lots to look forward to, but there is also lots to be considering and praying about.
We know we can be confident that God watches over us and is always with us, both in our times of joy but also in our times of challenge. The Bible teaches us that he is faithful to those who put their trust in him.
In the book of Isaiah chapter 41:10 the prophet writes this: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
We are reminded how God is with us and is our strength and help. What an amazing God who we can rely on and call on in our times of need. As I begin the role of Principal, I have been praying God’s guidance on me and give thanks for the wisdom of others who support and encourage. I am so thankful to God for the blessings of support I have received and feel so grateful that in our Christian school I can be surrounded by staff, students and parents who pray for me.
My prayer for this term is that our students and community across both our Ulverstone and Burnie campuses will have a blessed Term 4. We have already had some wonderful events, including the Year 10 Dinner on Friday, which coincided with the Primary Marimba performance at the Ulverstone MPH. It was a lovely way to end the first week of term!
May God bless us and watch over us as we enter this term. The grace and peace of God be with you.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13)
