Our Lady of Fatima Junior Chess Championship
Congratulations to the 58 students from Years 1-3 who took part in the Fatima Junior Chess Championship on Friday, 16th October. Not only were your chess skills, patience and strategic moves highly impressive, your resilience after losses and your sportsmanship were outstanding!
After 7 rounds and 2 rounds of hard-fought finals matches, we have our champions:

Congratulations to these students. The standard of players this year was very high and there were many very close matches!
A big thank you to our senior students who assisted on the day - our adjudicators, Jude G, Luca P, Julian M and Luca F and our scorekeeper, Charlotte H. You all did an incredible job and I couldn't have run the tournament without you! Thank you also to Ms Schembri and Mrs Parnell for your invaluable assistance.
Trophies and certificates will be presented to the winners at assembly this Friday.
The Senior Chess Championship will take place on Friday, 20th November.
An invitation to all students from Years 4-6 was sent home via Compass this week.
