Our annual School Swimming Carnival will be held on Friday, 27th November at Caringbah Leisure Centre for students in Years 2 – 5.
As this event forms part of the school's educational program, it is considered a normal school day and all students are expected to attend. We warmly welcome parents and carers to attend the carnival and encourage volunteers to assist on the day.
Please ensure that all Compass event consent and registration forms have been completed prior to the carnival to enable your child to participate.
Kindergarten and Year 1 students will remain at school and take part in a range of fun fitness and water-based activities, supported by our Year 6 students.
We look forward to an enjoyable day of participation, sportsmanship and school spirit for all students.

As our Year 2 students prepare for their exciting transition to Stage 2 next year, we would like to share an important update regarding our school's technology program.
From Term 1, 2027, students in Year 3 will no longer participate in a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program.
What This Means for Families
Families will not be required to purchase a laptop for students entering Year 3 in 2027.
The school will provide all necessary digital devices for classroom learning and curriculum requirements, including Digital Technologies.
Why We Are Making This Change
This decision aligns with the NSW Department of Education's classroom screen time guidelines, which promote a balanced approach to technology use in the primary years. For Year 3 students, screen use will be purposeful, targeted and limited throughout the school day.
Our focus remains on delivering high-quality learning experiences that prioritise literacy, numeracy, hands-on learning and pen-and-paper activities, while continuing to develop students' digital skills through meaningful technology use.
We are excited to support our students as they move into Year 3 with an approach that promotes learning, wellbeing and engagement in the classroom.
If you have any questions regarding this transition, please contact the school office.
Thank you for your ongoing support.

As we begin the term, we would like to remind families that all students are expected to wear the correct summer school uniform each day.
As part of our school's Sun Safety Policy, students are required to wear a school hat whenever they are participating in outdoor activities. Our "No Hat, No Play" policy applies, and students without a hat will be unable to participate in outdoor play and sport lessons.
On designated sport days, students should wear the correct sports uniform, including school sports socks and black or white sports shoes. Please note that the sports uniform is to be worn only on scheduled class sport or swimming days.
We also ask families to ensure that students maintain neat and tidy hairstyles. Long hair should be tied back at all times to support student safety and wellbeing.
Thank you for your support in helping our students take pride in their appearance and adhere to school expectations.

Parents and grandparents are warmly invited to join us for a special celebration of Grandparents Day and open classrooms on Friday, 30 October, commencing at 9:00am.
This cherished school event provides students with a meaningful opportunity to honour the important role grandparents play in their lives, while proudly showcasing their learning, creativity and achievements throughout the year. It is a wonderful occasion for families to come together, connect with our school community, and enjoy the inspiring work of our students.

Sutherland Shire Council officers regularly patrol school zones to monitor parking compliance and educate the community about road rules. Please be aware of parking restrictions to avoid a fine.
