AFL Paul Kelly Cup

Recount written by Team Member Fleur L

On September 23, our OLF AFL team travelled to Tuggerah on the Central Coast to compete in the State AFL Finals. At the start of the day, we lost our first game, which was disappointing, but we didn't let it affect us.

We worked together as a team, stayed positive and won our next two games. Everyone showed great determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

Although we narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing 4th in the state was an amazing achievement. It was a fantastic experience, and we are all very proud of how our mixed team represented OLF.

Well done to everyone who played and thank you to Mrs Noonan, Mr McNeil, Mr Small, Mr Lonergan and supporters for encouraging us throughout the day.
