As we come to the end of another busy and rewarding term, it is a great opportunity to reflect on all that has been happening across our Primary School. 

Throughout Term 3, our students were deeply engaged in their learning, embracing new concepts, developing new skills, and supporting one another along the way, both in and out of the classroom. It was wonderful to see curiosity, collaboration, and enthusiasm on display as students explored a wide range of learning experiences across all year levels. 

Learning extended well beyond the classroom through several valuable excursions and a variety of extra-curricular opportunities. These experiences enriched classroom learning, helped students make real-world connections, and created many memorable moments throughout the term. Just this week, we were delighted to welcome a representative from Burnie Bunnings, who worked alongside our Year 1 and 2 students to plant a variety of goodies in the Growing Garden. Experiences such as these helped nurture not only students' understanding of the world around them but also their sense of responsibility and care for God's creation. 

Our Worship Wednesday gatherings continued to be a special part of school life, bringing us together as a community to worship and quite literally try to lift the roof of The Ark in praise. We especially enjoyed seeing the student worship band step confidently into the spotlight under the guidance of Mr Chan. Their enthusiasm and commitment brought a richness and energy to our worship time that was appreciated by staff, students and families alike. 

It was also encouraging to see such strong attendance at our Family Assemblies throughout the term. We thank the many family members who joined us to celebrate student achievements and share in the life of our school. These occasions provided valuable opportunities to strengthen the partnership between home and school and to recognise the growth and accomplishments of our students. 

We remain incredibly grateful for the support of our parent community. Whether assisting with CATs groups, helping on excursions, or volunteering with the hot lunch program, your time, generosity, and commitment made a significant difference to the experiences we were able to provide for our students this term. Thank you for partnering with us so willingly and generously. 

We were also excited to relaunch Lego League this term, with a new team of enthusiastic students embracing the challenge from the outset. It has already been wonderful to see their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills developing as they worked together on new projects and challenges. 

Looking ahead to Term 4, there are several important dates to save in your calendar. The Lower Primary Athletics Carnival will be held at the Burnie Campus on 20 November, while the Upper Primary Swimming Carnival will take place on 12 November. Further details for both events will be shared next term. These occasions provide wonderful opportunities for students to challenge themselves, demonstrate sportsmanship, and enjoy being active together, and we warmly encourage parents and families to attend and support them. 

As the term concludes, I would like to thank our students, staff and families for their contribution to another successful and enjoyable term. The strength of our school community continues to be one of our greatest blessings, and we are grateful for the encouragement, support, and partnership that each of you brought throughout the term. We wish everyone a safe, restful and happy holiday break and look forward to welcoming you back for an exciting Term 4 as we finish the 2026 school year together.
