Harmony Week March 2025
Harmony Week is an annual celebration of Australia's cultural diversity and the benefits it brings to the Australian community. Since 1999, more than 80,000 Harmony Week events have been held across Australia and this includes the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on Friday 21 March.
This year's Harmony Week was observed from 17 - 23 March and Collingwood College celebrated our cultural diversity and inclusivity through a range of activities. From our amazing Iftar dinner to language and cultural sharings in the library, to chalk drawing in the front oval, to a Multicultural Lunchtime Concert that showcased some beautiful talents of our students and school community, to a Harmony March on Friday the 21st - where we unite and stand against racism.
We are so thankful to be able to acknowledge and enjoy the beauty and richness of our cultural diversity at Collingwood College.

Iftar Dinner at Collingwood College
On Tuesday, the 18th of March, our school hosted a memorable Iftar Dinner to celebrate the fasting observed during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The event brought together a large number of students, parents, and distinguished guests, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.
Families contributed by bringing a plate or two of their traditional foods, offering a wonderful opportunity to share and appreciate the richness of our diverse cultures. The evening was a true celebration of community, unity, and the values that define Ramadan—reflection, generosity, and togetherness.
Warm Regards,
