Year 6

Prime Minister's Spelling Bee
Twenty-three Year 6 students represented Essex Heights in the Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee Competition last week. The competition was opened to Year 6 students at EHPS this year. All children who participated will receive an award. The competition involved an online test with some tricky words, such as ‘flange’, ‘gingham’, ‘avocado’, ‘centenary’, ‘flotilla’ and ‘cosset’ to test students across the country.
Students were scored based on the words spelled correctly as well as their time to respond and type the words.I would like to congratulate all students who got involved and participated in the event this year, as well as Giorgio G (6R) and Aaron L (6B), who will be progressing to the next round of competition!
