Term 3 Assembly 

Our Term 3 Assembly focused on the theme ‘In the Pursuit of Excellence’, reminding us that excellence is lived out in many ways.  

From inspiring speeches by our student leaders and Year 7s, to performances by our symphonic band and VCE dance class, celebrating our recent Athletics Day age group champions, and acknowledging the Intermediate Boys Badminton Team who competed at the School Sport Victoria Championships, we saw first-hand that excellence takes many forms.

A highlight was hearing from guest speaker Jack Elliot, who shared his powerful story of overcoming challenges since being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at just 18 months old, showing remarkable resilience, determination, and ultimately chasing his dreams all the way to a premiership with Collingwood’s Wheelchair Football Club.

Excellence is about dedication, passion, and giving your all, qualities we see shining through in so many of our students at GSSC.
