The Bee Squad by Judy Friedlander

From Dunsborough on the coast of Western Australia to Sydney's suburbs, young people are discovering nature in their neighbourhoods and setting up nesting boxes for birds, cleaning up waterways, planting to attract bees and koalas and building insect hotels. They're learning about the amazing native species around them and finding ways to protect them. The Bee Squad inspires you to take part in these exciting adventures and projects that support threatened species by doing things like: learning how to put together a nature sleuth toolkit; planting to attract pollinators; using the tally sheet to record flora and fauna sightings; following the tips to ace your wildlife photography. The best part is, you don't need to live near a national park or protected area to get involved you can make a difference from your balcony, backyard, local park or school. Find this book in our Natural World section.

Web of Spies by Tim Ayliffe

When Ollie heads out for a run in the park, the last thing he expects to find is a dead body. But the real shock is that Ollie recognises the man. And somehow, he's connected to Ollie's father, who vanished ten months ago. And then he learns that the dead man was a spy. With everything he thought he knew about his dad now in doubt, there's only one way for Ollie to get answers. He's going to have to solve the murder. Armed with an old spy kit, a couple of bikes and a drone, Ollie and his friends Ella and George are about to step into a world that is more dangerous than they could ever have imagined. Find this in our Action and Adventure section.

Hope to see you in the library soon,
