Faith in Action: Living Gospel Values Every Day
Here in St Andrew's, Religious Education is far more than just a subject on the timetable. It is the heartbeat of our community. Every day, Catholic teachings and Gospel values shape how we treat one another, how we learn, and how we care for the world around us. Values such as compassion, justice, respect, and love are woven into our daily classroom routines, helping our students grow into thoughtful, empathetic individuals.
While our faith journey includes celebrating sacred milestones, having already celebrated Reconciliation and First Holy Communion this year, and now preparing our students for Confirmation - our faith is equally alive in how we put these beliefs into practice every single day.
Putting Faith into Action: Catholic Social Teaching
A central pillar of our Religious Education is Catholic Social Teaching (CST), which calls us to respect the dignity of every human person and to care for those in need. Principles like the Preferential Option for the Poor and Solidarity teach our children that we are all responsible for one another.
When our students learn about justice in the classroom, they are inspired to act with their hearts and hands in the real world.
Upcoming Event: Winter Appeal PJ Day!

To bring these Catholic Social Teaching principles to life, our school is proud to support the annual St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal.
Led by our dedicated Year 6 Social Justice Leaders, we invite all students to come to school dressed in their cozy pyjamas for a fun and meaningful cause!
- When: Friday 21st August
- What to Wear: Warm, school-appropriate Pyjamas and cozy clothes!
- What to Bring: A gold coin donation
All donations raised on the day will go directly to Vinnies to help local families experiencing homelessness and hardship during these cold winter months. Thank you to our Year 6 leaders for their initiative, and to our wonderful school community for your ongoing generosity. Together, we are showing our children what it truly means to live out Gospel values!
