One of the lovely parts of my job as OHSC coordinator at Menzies Creek Primary, is seeing the children grow in confidence and learn new skills. Jump Rope for Heart has inspired a great enthusiasm for skipping and it has been fabulous to see the children practicing and learning new tricks. They quite often come running in after school to tell me of a new personal best of the number of skips in a row, or to show me a new technique they have been working on. Yesterday Elijah showed me how he skips, squatting down like a frog. Thankfully, he didn’t expect me to do it too!

The collaborative painting of a Dinosaurs Picnic is looking fabulous and is nearly finished. This week Bronte and Sadie coloured in lots of the bees and butterflies. Everybody is liking Aurora’s blob fish and children visiting  the room, often remark on it. I think the painting needs another blob fish. I hope there’s room!
