NAIDOC WEEK

NAIDOC WEEK 5th-12th July

NAIDOC Week 5-12 July 2026

NAIDOC Week 2026 is a time for all Australians to celebrate the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme, “50 Years Deadly,” marks a significant milestone and honours the strength and legacy of those who have built and sustained the NAIDOC movement. It pays tribute to Elders who have stood strong, organisers who have created space for change, artists who have expressed resistance through creativity, and communities who continue to show up year after year. Importantly, it also looks forward to the next 50 years and celebrates the young people growing up proud, strong, and connected to culture.

Although our school will be on holidays during NAIDOC Week, we encourage our community to take this time to reflect on and recognise the ongoing contributions of First Nations peoples. As a school community, we remain committed to continuing our journey towards reconciliation, respect, and meaningful connection with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
