Greenacre Secondary Campus Update

Welcome back to all our staff, parents and students. For those Allah blessed with the Journey to Hajj, I ask Allah for you acceptance and blessing and for the ones who missed out this year, I ask Allah to grant you the opportunity for a blessed Hajj next year.

Term 3 is an exciting and sad term for us. It is exciting as it marks the end of the preliminary year for our year 11 cohort as we will welcome them back next term as the new HSC class. Our dedicated staff are doing everything they possibly can and sparing no effort or resource to ensure they finish the term strong setting them up for HSC success. Our wellbeing team is also busy meeting with students and parents and discussing all possible options and pathways to maximise the chances of success for all our students.

The Breakfast Club

The breakfast club every Tuesday morning organised by Ms. Kassar and supported by year advisors is going very well. It gives a chance for our girls to bond with their teachers and peers over a light meal.

The enrichment year 7 class has just entered a bridge building competition as part of their stem and design program. Many thanks to Ms. Jalloul, Mr. Haider and Mr. Melhem for organising and supporting students throughout the process. I am excited to announce that one of our teams won the design award with their bridge holding 6.6Kg.

Year 12 cohort are going through their second trial exams and sadly they will be leaving us at the end of the term. We ask Allah to guide them to fulfil their personal best and grant them success in whichever pathway they choose. We also urge all parents to support their children and motivate them to finish their schooling experience on a high note.

Finally, I would like parents to assist the school by ensuring that their children are at school every day unless there is a medical or family emergency as full attendance and punctuality are essential for students to achieve success.
