🎨 Creative Minds at Work in the Art Room

🎨 Year 6 Emotion Portrait Inspired by Pablo Picasso

In Year 6, students created Emotion Portraits inspired by Pablo Picasso. They used colours and facial expressions to convey a chosen emotion and applied watercolours to add colour to both the portrait and background. Students selected colours that reflected their chosen emotion and added darker values to give their portraits more dimension. 

They also incorporated expressive lines and shapes into the background to enhance the overall mood. Finally, students self-assessed their work using a rubric to reflect on their creative choices and techniques.
