Digital Technologies - Lisa Geary
Safer Internet Day is a global day of action bringing communities, schools, and families from 180 countries together to raise awareness of online safety issues and work towards a safer internet. It is an opportunity to take a moment to talk about what’s really happening online, and think about what we can each do to make it better.
At St Bernard’s, cybersafety is an ongoing focus for our students, supported by both regular classroom conversations and dedicated lessons at the beginning of each term. This week, students across all year levels participated in Safer Internet Day activities, and students in Years 3–6 will also take part in upcoming cybersafety webinars.
We encourage families to continue these important conversations at home. Talking with your child about what they know and do to stay safe online is a great way to reinforce safe and responsible digital habits.
