At Cowwarr, we are fortunate to have a team of dedicated and passionate staff who strive to do their very best each day. Our goal is to support our wonderful students in developing the knowledge and skills they need to make positive choices throughout their lives.
An important part of this journey is recognising that learning isn’t just for students, it’s for all of us. To truly meet the diverse needs of our students, we must continue to build our own understanding. As staff, we are always growing, reflecting and building our understanding so we can better meet the needs of every one of our students.
We have recently been very fortunate to work alongside Karina from our region’s Student Support Services (SSS) team. Karina brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, and her support and guidance has been invaluable. She has helped guide our thinking, answered our many questions, and encouraged us to keep exploring new approaches. Learning never truly ends.
Our staff share a strong commitment to continuous improvement, one of the key messages we’ve taken from this work is that not everything works the first time and that’s okay. Like many things in life, supporting students often involves trial and error. We try strategies, reflect on how they go, and if needed, we adjust and try again. Strategies that didn’t work before can be successful at a different time or in a different context. The key is that we keep trying, learning, and adapting, because without trying, we will never really know what will work.
What’s impressive is the commitment of our staff, just like our students, we are all striving to be the best we can be. We WILL keep learning, keep trying, and keep working together to support every student to succeed.
