Around the Classrooms

Grade 1/2K
This week in PBL, 1/2K have been exploring emotions, friendship, and acts of kindness. Students have been building their awareness of feelings, learning to identify and describe their own interests, skills, and achievements, and reflecting on how these can contribute positively to school and family life.
We have also focused on how to care for others and interact in respectful and supportive ways. Students shared and reflected on a time they showed kindness, considering how their actions made others feel. They then illustrated their ideas and wrote short captions to match.
Here are some of their thoughtful reflections:
Evie: “I help my mum to clean up because she does a lot for us. It makes mum happy.”
Dalena-Rose: “I like to help people when they hurt themselves.”
Eliyana: “I talk or play with people who are lonely. Then they feel happy.”
Zander: “I help by picking up rubbish. It is good to help the community to make sure that the world is not polluted.”
Polly: “I like standing up for people because I want people to feel happy.”
Danny: “I like to play and include everyone because it makes them very, very happy!”
Well done, 1/2K, for showing such care and kindness towards others.
