Division Tennis
Both our Girls and Mixed hot shots tennis teams competed in the Division Tennis tournament on October 14. We played our matches at Liston Reserve, Williamstown. Our girls team played 3 matches against Alamanda, Seaholme and Seabrook. They played with great spirit but finished last of the 4 schools. The Mixed tennis team played against Saltwater, Altona and Seabrook, they had some challenging opponents but showed great tennis match play. They also finished 4th of the schools in the mixed tournament.
Overall everyone played with great spirit, competitiveness and sportsmanship. We were close in all the games and we had a great day out playing hot shots tennis.
Division Basketball
Our girls Basketball team qualified for the Hobsons Bay division tournament on Tuesday 13th of October. We played at Altona sports centre and we faced Newport Gardens, Queen of Peace and Lumen Cristi. This was our second appearance in a row at this tournament after winning the district tournament. The girls gave it their all however we were unable to win a match. They played with great enthusiasm and determination and it was a great achievement to make it to this level.
Division Cricket
Our Mixed Cricket team played in the Hobsons Bay Division tournament on Thursday, October 15th. We played our three matches at Fearon Reserve in Williamstown. This tournament was a chance for our selected students to show their skills and compete for a win.
We played our first match against a very strong Alamanda team, who ended up winning. Next, we played against Sacred Heart Newport and had a close game, only losing by 40 runs. Our last game was against Seabrook Primary School; we had a great battle against them, but ultimately lost by 30 runs. Overall, the students represented the school proudly.
